TentmanMartini Takedown - Attention BAW
Hello BAW
Some time ago you chipped in with some advice mentioning the martini split reciever method. I was thinking about various takedown methods and sorta discounted your idea until I came to realise how practical it might be versus how much work there is in other "conversions".
I have a Martini Enfield (dated 1876, 1889 and finally 1901 for its conversion to 303) that I have had rebarreled to 30-40 Krag (because I had a 30 cal tube on hand) that I am considering as a canidate. I also found your thread on your martini scope mount, it would nicely compliment the rifle too.
Could you please tell me a little more about how the takedown conversion is done, which martini actions are suitable, and if possible post or email me a few photos of an example ??
Many thanks - Foster (prices@woosh.co.nz)
