GA ShooterWould you spend $500 for a single shot .17HMR?
Saw a T/C G2 Contender Carbine at a shop for $499 in .17HMR. Had a 23" bull barrel and walnut stocks. Looked nice, but $500 for a single shot rimfire? Would you buy that? Are these things very accurate?
Thanks,
Scott

Hobie$300 of that is the receiver and stock set. That's actually a pretty "good" price. If you don't like the chambering you can get a nearly limitless selection of cartridges which are within the capabilities of the G2 action. My old style Contender has 19 carbine barrels, 2 of which are smoothbore (.410 and 28 ga.) and the rifled barrels go from .22 LR to .45-70.
To paraphrase Satchmo, if you have to ask why you don't get it.

N. S. SherlockHello Mr. Hobie: Can you enlighten me a little on G2 capabilities concerning size, pressure, etc. I'm generally aware of contender data already. Always admired contenders but ended up with other things. Thanks, ned
