FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I'd be tempted. I would like a more ambidextrous .375 to go along with my LH bolt .375. But alas, the dealer won't sell to anyone in California. Darn!

What is most scary about it is the creator of this abomination probably thought it looked good and was proud of their work.

I think someone needs to keep his hands off the kids' Crayolas.

I was tempted to PM the seller and ask whether it came with the owner's crack pipe.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

It reminds me of some of the comic strip tigers Jeffery used to put on their double rifles, except that Jeffery didn't use inlays.

It has always been my opinion that the funny cartoon like animals engraved of double rifle were engraved in India, while if you look at the scroll engraving it seems to me to have been done in the UK. The only cartoon animals seem to be animals found in India.

The example above will support that opinion because the scroll engraving is very well done, while the animals seem to be done by an amateur by the light of a candle in a mud shack with tool made by reshaping a screw driver.

Oh, dear me, but that is atrocious. Equally remarkable is that someone actually bid $828 for the abomination and the seller didn't take it.

i can;t help but wonder how deep the engraving is cut. if a guy bought it cheap enough it might be possible to surface grind the crap off and then refinish. i did do this once to a #1 that some gut engraved with one of those little electric things. sent it turnbull to color case and it turned out wonderful

I was wondering about that but for $1,000 I could find a better condition No. 1

That gun was relisted 8 or so times for not making the minimum bid.

Someone actually paid $1,000 for it.
