Clerke "highwall"?
I want to build a scheutzen rifle (32/40) and have a chance to get a Clerke action. I understand they are a lot like the 1885 Winchester Highwall but I've never seen one. A web search turned up nothing and it's not even in the two De Haas single shot books that I have. Anyone familiar with this action or know where I can get more info? Thanks...

Found it...thanks.
Sure does look like a highwall. I've since learned they are "coil spring" actions (instead of leaf) and that most of the parts interchange with the Winchester. The buttstock's are attached with a thru bolt like a Ruger #1 so a tang must be welded on for attachment of a tang sight.
Thanks again for the link to the picture.
