richjTC in 6.5
Since the action length doesn't really matter, does anyone have a TC in 6.5 creedmoor, 260 rem, 6.5 Swed?

prof242Are you talking about the T/C Encore? The T/C Contender would be too weak for anything but the 6.5x45 or 47mm.
Richj, I have an Encore in 260 Rem. pistol barrel and my brother has a 6.5x55 Swede. Both are custom barrels and are very accurate.

Steve E.You can buy a frame or complete rifle or pistol and swap out barrels and convert from pistol to rifle and vice versa. When I called the ATF Office (Dallas) years ago they said you could swap from rifle to pistol and back but just make sure you don't have the rifle butt stock and a pistol barrel installed on the frame at the same time. I have a 6.5 Swede rifle barrel from MGM and it is a tack driver.

BiebsTalk with Bobby Tomek...that's all he uses, and has them in many calibers.

ClaMarI think Bobby uses Contenders with custom barrels, cartridges based on .30-30 brass.

Yes. There is really no assembly needed. Buy an action, buy stocks (handgun or rifle), buy a barrel in the caliber you what (custom built or factory), you're good to go.
Out of the 3 TCs (Encore) I own my favorite is a 17 Rem with a 22 inch heavy barrel.

Bobby TomekThe TC is one of the most user-friendly and most versatile systems out there. Lots of options exist for barrels and stocks, so your possibilities are anything but limited.
While I now only use Contenders, I spent quite a bit of time with Encores over the years, and the 6.5 bore diameter was one of my favorites.
I've had two barrels in 6.5x55, including a 24" factory and a true bull measuring 27" overall from Dave Van Horn. With Re-22 and a good 140 grain bullet, both showed superb accuracy. I used that 24" 6.5x55 with a handloaded 140 grain Hornady Spire Point to take a large, elusive boar at 252 yards on a stormy summer evening back in 2002. That ol' boar had given me the slip several times before, and I was specifically hunting him -- and wanted nothing other than that incredibly-reliable and consistent 6.5x55 in my hands for when I finally got a shot.
I've had 3 barrel in .260: two from MGM and another from Eben Brown. With their favorite loads, all 3 were capable of tiny bug-hole groups.
The TCs do have their intricacies, but once you figure it all out, you'll love all of the potential and versatility they offer.
