1885 browning scope ?
Looking to scope my 45-70. My 3-9 balvar is to short, needs to have longer tube such as my 4-16 signature but would like a lighter scope and less bell size to mount lower.

I used an older Redfield 3x9x40 on my .22 Hornet and I really like it.

Oh and I used Burris rings. Hope that helps.

Put a 6-24 B&L looked great on it did some range work but was temporary and now have a 3-9 Conquest on it. Eye relief is perfect with both scopes. Not much space for thumb with Conquest but extra relief will give that added confidence of not getting smacked and can let others give it a go if so inclined. [Wink]
Put weaver bases on it and zee rings....the browning bases had adjustments done by previous owner rendered them unusable for what I want. Was uable to get elevation low enough.
