Ruger No. 1 Extractors
Has anybody ever experienced any ejector failures on a Ruger No. 1 particularly in the large magnums. I will hunt dangerous game with my 416 Remington. I have never had problems with my No. 1's, just curious if anybody else has.

I've had/have several over the past 20 in rimmed and rimless calibers and have never had a problem with them.

I have been using the No. 1's in various chamberings since they were first announced, and have NEVER experienced a failure of any sort due to the extractor/ejector. BUT, if I were going on a trip abroad with one, I might carry an extra ejector plunger spring or two (S-30 on the list here- http://ruger.com/Firearms/PDF/PartsBooklets/E11.pdf $0.50-) I mean the small coil spring that keeps the ejector pushed firmly in the extractor groove of the cartridge case.....
