Uberti Highwall...again
Buffalo Arms (website) has illustrations of Uberti high walls/low walls, both pistol & straight grip, single & DST's from .22 Hornet to 45/90 but... when I called about ordering one all they have is a couple of straight-grip, single trigger 45/70's. Everything else is "on the boat" and there is NO informaiton (at least at Buffalo Arms) re availability or delivery dates.
Has anyone bought one of these lately? Is there a "dealer" that actually HAS a selection ??

Thanks...Jon.

I purchased one laat year , and I had to wait ! 45/70 pistol grip 32" BBl .The 45/90 was not available at that time anywhere so I settled for the 45/70 , Their catalogue said they had them but they did not ! Dealer here in PA

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder if the other models are actually in production or exist only on paper. At least you were able to get one with a pistol grip and, if you really want a 45/90, it only takes a reamer and a little work to make it into one. Thanks for the reply...

Phoned Cimarron this morning. They do have a number of highwalls available but none with DST's. The model I want is straight grip, DST's, in 30/40 Krag. They get a shipment "every 30 or 40 days" but there is no invoice and they don't know what they are getting until it actually arrives. So, if they don't have what you want you place an order and wait for an unknown length of time.
The person I talked with (Cris) was very helpful and it looks like Cimarron is the place go for one of these rifles if you're willing to wait.
Thanks Invader66 for the lead...

KILLADEAUX
I own a Uberti 1885 Winchester hi-Wall in 45/70. I'm wanting ti reload a bullet that will be safe and accurate. I'm leaning towards 55 grains of Reloader 7 with either a 300 grain Barnes or a Hornady 325 grain bullet. Has anyone tried this combination and what were the results.
