doctorxring1885 "Trapper" 30-40 Krag
.
This rifle has turned out better than anticipated. Very accurate and handles well. Total weight with the Weaver K2.5 is 7 lb. 6 oz. This years weapon of choice on a January exotic hunt.

CARNENice looking gun I very much like the 30/40. So much so I have a 30/40 in a Ruger #3. Would prefer the 1885 with exposed hammer. Also have a low wall in 260 rem which is so nice to carry. Please tell us how you do with it.

900 SSAccubonds are great.
Now I'm curious where you are going to hunt. I made a search to see pictures of your game, and seemingly one lives mainly in India and the other around Sahara but its considered extinct except in zoo's.

doctorxringTexas hill country. Both species thrive
on ranches here. Blackbuck were brought into
Texas in the 30's and Scimitar Horned Oryx
in the 60's.
This is a pic of my young shooting bud who
took a nice blackbuck this October on the
ranch I will hunt this January.
