Just traded for this:
I can't find much at all on the internet about current values, likes, dislikes, experiences, etc. If anyone has one, I would love to get comments from you.

mdstewartI sold these at one time. Accurate rifles but usually not great wood. They were way over prices when launched. Hope you got a bargain on that one.

458WinI just sold one in 30-06. It was a very accurate, 3/4 moa, lightweight rifle but they are an unknown in this country and as mine had the butt cut down for a woman it went for $650
Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

HookApparently very few were sold over here. I have gotten practically no feedback on this one. Thank you for your comments. I have had an opportunity for a couple of more range sessions and continue to be impressed. It is solid, accurate, and handles very well. I did manage to get an owner's manual (digital) from Brno/CZ, but they have totally washed their hands of the model wrt to parts and technical help. Thankfully, mine came with the Brno scope mount so I don't have to scrounge that up from the internet.

AtkinsonI love these old guns, but I would have to drag out my wood rasp or horseshoe rasp and kill that Bavarian check piece and straighten up the comb, some are too severe to do that and I pass on them..Beautiful old guns..just need a facelift like any other ole gal.. Oooops sorry ladies..
One needs to think historically that in many cases some old Kraut gunsmith who could turn an anvil into a perfectly round ball with a hand file built these old guns in a closet in his house, then built a stock with his pocket knife and a scraper of sorts.

richjI talked to Geo Beitzinger today. Very bad back problems.
I have 2 "cigarette" rifles that he worked on with stocks like that. He told me G&H had 55 gal. barrels full of those stocks that they threw away.
This was 30ish years ago.

AtkinsonWhat is amazing I see some of these guns sell for $650 to $850 with a full rib...A full rib on a barrel today can cost you as much as $1600 or better from some of the better barrel makers.
