It's a 30-06. Really sweet rifle with a fantastic trigger.
Since taking the pics I've rubbed a bit of brown dye into those scratches shown in the closeups so they don't stand out as white anymore.
Don't let the closeups of the flaws fool you, this gun is really nice.

Another nice thing about your rifle besides absence of warning is the early style checkering on the grip.

Looks a lot like mine. Mine is broken, however,the hotter the barrel gets the tighter the group. Oh well, you have to put up with somethings!!!

Really nice looking 1a. I aquired one about 3 wks. back, but it's a newer one, with a black pad. Gonna change that over to red decelerator, in the not to distant future. Big Grin
