C Sharps Highwall
Anyone own one of these?.
The rifles look great in the ad's and the price is right. Very little info in the archives but there were some comments about the company being sold. Any info appriciated.

I don't own one but have seen many. The 75 Sharps which is their specialty is a bit of an eyesore in my opinion. So much so that the Original Sharps company made only 2 or 3 of these things.

They also make the 74 model and a highwall. Both seem to be very decent guns and sport Badger Barrels which are very good quality.

The company is ALWAYS for sale. Has been for years.

Check out Shiloh Sharps across the street in Big Timber MT. They too, make a 74 Sharps and are considered the benchmark among reproduction Sharps rifles.

Have one in the shop right now, refinishing the stock. Seems very well made...a pretty close copy of a coil-spring, flat side, octagon top highwall. This one is in .45-70 and shoots VERY good.

That they made only a few of those pretty '75s is pretty much why Sharps went out of business in the first place. roflmao

Thanks for the comments.
Phoned C. Sharps Friday...a brochure is on the way. Prices have gone up about $100 and were not reflected on the website Friday but that may have been changed by now.
Was told most of the parts interchange with the origional Winchester gun as described by g.pinnell. Current delivery wait following an order is 5 or 6 months unless they happen to have the gun you want on hand. I want one in 30/40 Krag with a 26" lightweight tapered octagon barrel which of course is not in stock.
Thanks again for the info.
