Rolling Block 45-70
Built with the help of DPCD and Dennis Earl Smith. 2 great craftsmen to do business with.

Turnbull did the metal finish. I need to reinstall the Vaver adjustable peep sights.

Congratulations Butch. Lovely wood and color case work. Hope you have many joyous hours afield with this rifle. I have corresponded with Dennis, and I have worked with Tom on several projects and can't say enough good things about him.

Very tastefully done rifle, who did the case hardening?

Thanks, really like the look it gives an antique firearm.

Dave, it is built on a 7X57 Rolling Block. Not home so I can't look up the model. It came with the small firing pin. The barrel is a Shilen.

I have purchased wood from Roger Vardy for many years. I have the best luck telling Roger what I am building and my price that I'm willing to pay.He asks a lot of questions about the rifle and I let him pick the wood.

It's a 1902 Remington Roller. Smokeless Powder 7mm, originally.
