Encore accuracy
I am looking into buying another barrel for my Encore that I just got. Please post some group sizes with barrel make and caliber. This will help me make my decision. I am lloking at calibers larger than the 22 class.
Thanks
Cody

I have a 24 inch factory 270 Winchester barrel that cuts an inch with factory 140s at 100 wearing a 6x glass...when the foreend pressure is just right. Haven't messed with it much but expect I'll have to get a free-floated foreend to see its best work consistently. Good hunting!

Thanks for the reply. I have a Sako 270 that I am hunting with now, so I think I will be looking for a different caliber.

7 mm Rem. Mag., 26" heavy barrel, use 140gr. Barns TSX, IMR 4350. Average for 10-3 shot groups last weekend was .330" @100yards. Brass is 338 Norma necked down and fireformed to fit chamber.

How about a 375 H&H that shoot about .80 of an inch with a 260 grain Nosler ballistic tip. Its great fun for prarie dogs.
