Long range lightweight
I am toying with the idea of building a SS longranger with a caliber of 300 Whisper or 30/20. Plan to shoot subsonic so why use a bigger case? I know it will be a "mortar" but I just want to fool around with it. I am only planning on shooting out to 500 meters. What would be your recommendation of an action? Definitely want to stay with the nostalgia of the falling block. Regards...g

My #1 is 6mm BR, no neck turn, 105 amax 2815fps, 70gr TNT at 3400.

Shot a .498 group for 3 shots at 330 yds. If you want a long range rifle, why not look at a caliber like this....
