john113wyoFound a TCR 83 Aristocrat with two barrels
Hey guys.
Local gunshop has a TCR Deluxe/Aristocrat with two triggers, .243 and .22-250 barrels with cheap scope mounted on the .243 barrel.
Whole combo is in immaculate condition; bright shiny blue, bright sharp bores, 7000 range SN on frame. Wood and bluing is in terrific shape, seen little use. Minor scratch on right side of pistol grip. Doesn't look like is was hardly ever hunted or even out of a case. Has squared- off german-style cheekpiece, RH stock.
$575 for the whole outfit.
I know little to nothing about this rifle and how they shoot. Anybody care to comment?
I'm not sure I'm really interested, but one of you might be. Convince me why I should buy it or call Guns & Gear at (307) 632-4867.

Mike ScottThat's cheap compared to gunbroker prices. Buy it if you like it. They shoot pretty good.

john113wyoYou are welcome. I was on the fence, hope you enjoy it.
You could repay the heads up if you find a lipseys special edition ruger bisley blackhawk .44 special 5.5 inch blue in shop somewhere...
Thanks.

dwheelsJump on it. That is a super price for two barrels and this rifle. Just be aware that they don't make anything for them anymore. No parts, no barrels, nothing. I had to make the extractor cam for mine when I had it. Another one that should never have been sold. DW

Cliff LyleThat's a steal and is about half of what I paid for my two barrel set.

Dale450While we are on the TCR subject does anyone have any tips to improve accurracy.
I seem to have problems with my groups shiffting

Mine, in .243 Win, shoots a "pattern" not a group. After about 15 shots it looks like somebody blasted my target with #4 buck shot and an open choke!
Beautifull, handy little rifle. Great for lookin at and carrying.......for shooting?...Not so much!

I'd say you need to have a good single shot gunsmith take a peek at it. With the factory barrels that come with the iron sights, most of the ones I've seen shoot great, even with factory ammo.
On the other hand, most of the Fox Ridge (T/C Custom Shop) barrels I have tried were, for some reason, mediocre shooters. They have no iron sights or holes for mounting those sights, which should theoretically make them even more accurate, but such has not been my experience.
My own factory iron-sighted barrels (with scopes added) are all-sub MOA. (.22 Hornet, .243 Win., 7-08, and .30-06).
My Fox Ridge barrels range from 1-1/4 MOA (.225 Win) up through 2+ MOA (.32-40).
My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
