How's the forearm attach to an Encore barrel?
I have my 1st barrel on order for an Encore. Pics of encore barrels do not show if the 2 holes are drilled/tapped into the barrel or if they're like Contender barrels (each threaded insert is in a dovetail in the barrel). Can someone post a pic? Reason I'm asking is I'm making a buttstock and forearm for my Encore.

Old 4x4,
Welcome to the club! The factory barrels are drilled & tapped for 2 screws into the barrel. Not like the Contender which have those dovetail inserts.

Hope this helps

Doc, Thanks for the info. I'm going to pillar bed the forearm to the barrel. I did it with an SSK contender bbl and it's sub MOA all day long.

One thing you might want to make sure you have in hand is 8-40 screws for the fore end..... You can get them from Brownells or Thompson.....
