ElaltoAnyone own or have photos or info on TCR 87 Mag??
HI All,
I just bought a Thompson Center TCR '87 Mag with three barrels. I'm now waiting for delivery and then the Kalifornia waiting period, it could be a month before I see it.
Does anyone own one and can tell me what to expect? or have photos of one I can see while I wait??
Any info on it will be mucho appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Marcos (elalto)
I just traded into one a few weeks ago. Haven't gotten to shoot it much, but so far I really like it. My only complaint is with the safety. You have to push the a button, as you then push the safety over. Not real easy to do, and not fast. Also a pretty ugly looking safety, on an otherwise sleek beautiful gun.

Steve E.Mine had the Mag proof mark but it had an 06 barrel and what a trigger, about the best I have ever pulled. It was very accurate, better than the Mdl.70 and the Mossberg I own. I wish I still had it. A friend ask how much I wanted for it and I said it's not for sale, well he kept after me for a couple of weeks and finally I gave in and told him a price that was what I thought was too high(I never would have paid that for one)and he said I'll go get the money. I'll keep my mouth shut from now on. About my only complaint was also the safety button.

ElaltoThanks for your responses, I really would like to know about the scope mounting. I have had a problem with my other single shots in that the eye relief is not enough on most scopes, I have to crawl the stock or modify the bases or rings. Does the TCR have this problem or will regular bases do the job?
Thanks again for your comments, it is appreciated.

<eldeguello>I fixed that "safety-safety" button with a drop of Super Glue. It no longer impedes operation of the safety. Now the safety can be operated with one finger instead of two hands!

Steve E.The eye relief was perfect on mine. But sorry I don't remember the scope, base and ring combination that was on it.
