I finally got it! Two barrels in 375 Flanged Magnum and 7x57. It is so much nicer in hand than the pictures can show.

Wow, that's a nice looking rifle!
Those two calibers should just about cover anything you would want to hunt.
Can't wait to see some "trophy photos"

Nice rifle.

Let us know how she shoots.

If possible take some pictures to show us how the barrel interchangeability works...

What a beautiful piece of work. Congratulations. Mine is on its way back to Ohio to have a 260 Remington barrel fitted to it. It wasn't absolutely necessary to send it in but I have some time and am happy to let them look at it.
They are wonderful to carry and shoot. Enjoy.

There is no better balanced rifle than a well made single shot.

Is the 7x57 barrel rimmed or rimless?

.

The 7x57 is currently rimless but I'm planning to fix that sometime soon. With a 26" barrel, the overall rifle length is just under 41" and weight is just under 7lbs. It handles, points and feels like a magic wand. Scope and rings will bring it up to about 8lbs.

Mike would it be possible to post a closeup of the checkering...is it flatop, and what's the LPI? Thanks!

Congrats Mike, that sure as heck is purty. Damn ole misssissippi what a FN piece of wood you got on there. WOW!

Most guys here know I like them guns and them guys.
I took delivery of mine a few months ago. The test target it came with was a little under an inch and was three shots.
I tried some old factory ammo I had laying around and I shot about a little over a half inch, gotta love that.

Since then I have shot it a good bit and it is a shooter. Some loads have been over an inch but if I do my part it keeps 3 or 5 shots well inside an inch. Light weight little gun.

Seems like NECG likes them also so that says something about their quality at Luxus.
NECG does not deal with anything that is not high quality.

More pictures will have to wait for my daughter to be home again. The checkering is 22 lpi and while I don't know much about checkering, I think it would be called a semi flat top style. It is very fine, shallow lines, and smooth with tiny flats. I'm really loving it! I plan to shoot it more this weekend.

Great looking rifle. I agree with what you say about the handling. I love mine in 223 and am adding 250 Savage and a 9.3x74R barrels. The open sights really make a pretty rifle.

What will you fellows do for a case? This rifle shouts to be carried in a break down hard case. Who to choose from?

I use a Aluma Made diamond pattern foam lined case for my K95. It's light and short.

I shot some groups with the 7x57 barrel today. Took a firm hold with the forend screw centered on the rest. With iron sights, three shot groups were clover leafs at 50 yards. With a scope at 100 yards, three shot groups were well under an inch! I loaded and shot a few 375s for fun but have not got that one on a rest yet.

Barrel switching is fiddly enough that I probably will not break it down in the field unless I need to switch barrels for some reason.

Congratulation Mike on some great rifles.

I recently have been working with a few of them and am impressed by the quality of the rifle and its balance and handling. I am leaning towards a 260 Remington with a nice piece of wood. I’ve talked with Adam at Luxus and am impressed by the things he conveyed to me about the design and tolerances they work under. Great rifles.

So far I have been using rings and scopes taken off other rifles. I think I finally have permanent rings and scopes figured out for these barrels. They are getting a pair of Leupold VX3 3.5x10s in medium height Talley QD rings. The mounted scopes set up to the same dimensions can be swapped from barrel to barrel.

Can anyone please explain to me how the locking mechanism of the luxus 11 works. I saw a video on their website. The locking mechanism looked simple, like a TC encore or contender. How strong is it ?
I suppose it can not be compared to a Kipblock verschluss like in a Blaser K95

Woodhits
It is a similar system (to the T/C) but the tolerances are very tight so I imagine that it's stronger by some margin.
