Brian CanadaScope rail for the TC Encore Rifle.
Can any recommend a good weaver/picatinny rail for the TC Encore rifle barrel. I would like to find a steel one that is longer than standard as I will mount a long eye relief scope further forward, the rifle is a heavy kicker.
Any suggestion of who might make a decent one would be much appreciated. Thank, Brian

Vol717I don’t know of Picatinny rails but Talley makes a one piece rail for Talley rings. I have them on two barrels. Plus I have used them by machining off the underside to match barrel contours on other single shots like Highwalls.

Brian CanadaVol71,
Thanks for the tip. You are sure right, that is an excellent mount for the TC Encore. I have just recently found the same one piece rings/rail from Talley that you are suggesting.
At first I got nowhere trying to get a local gun dealers to find me one, so I phoned Tally and the lady was great, she got me the part number of the exact model that I wanted, extra high, extended and quickly found me a Canuck dealer that had one in stock. (I chose the extra high model to get more room for my fat thumb between the scope bell and the hammer.)
Talley appears to really have their act together. Efficient, helpful lady on the line.
I have the scope mounted and am making a cheek riser for the stock comb.
The barrel is a 24 inch custom MGM .500-110 Winchester chambered to true .500 cal, not 510. I load it pretty warm for cape buffalo with CEB .410 grain Safaris Raptors and 450 grain CEB Solids. It is just a little bit south of the .500 NE for killing power on cape buffalo.
The weight, with the scope is just under 8 lbs. so I machined a little tank type muzzle brake for it and it's very easy to shoot now.
As you can see, I am Kinda excited about this set up.
Thanks again for your email, you are right on about the Talley one piece mount.
