leemar28Ruger #1 International
I like the look and feel of the #1. How do the full stock rifles shoot? Any real troubles with them ?

MickinColoThe IRS is a little fussy. It’s capable of very good accuracy for the first three shots but barrel heat comes into play after that, much like in the little pencil barreled bolt-action rifles.
If you can except a Ruger No.1 for what it is “a single shot hunting rifle”. You’ll be happy.
If you’re one of those guys that thinks hunting rifles should shoot like target rifles, you’ll never be happy.

leemar28I figured the light bbl would heat up quick. What about the fore arm and contact with the bbl ?

MickinColoBarrel to stock contact is a given. You have a constant contact with the muzzle area of the barrel. You can minimize the affect of that but never get rid of it.

firemanThey are a beautiful, handy little rifle but i find them to be poorly balanced. The are a bit but heavy.
