SabotEncore Extractor with belted cases
Boy, belted cases are an pain in my Encore...it takes two hands to SLOWLY ride the belt over the extractor so you can close the dang thing and shoot. NO follow up shots with that rig.
Are there any ideas out there about how to overcome this problem without going to a beltless case?
Thanks!

C. A. PlaterI had the same issue with a 7 mm Mag Encore barrel. I solved it buy selling the barrel and getting a bolt gun in the same caliber. I'm sticking to rimmed and unbelted case in the Encore with a strong preference for the rimmed.

Me_PlatI've not had a problem. I guess who made the barrel may be the problem.
I didn't like using rimless cases in my Contender and sold off those barrels.
There is a rimmed German cartridge, the 7x65R, which is similar to the .280 and isn't too far behind the 7 RM. The case prices from HDS aren't too bad, and I'm sure Bullberry or any of the others would chamber an Encore barrel for it. Had you a 7-30 barrel, it would just be a reamer job.

southernutahSabot, I had the same problem with mine. I took a small file and filed the burr off of the back and top of the egector. The burr was hanging up on the belt.
