SliderRuger#1 450/400 mounts. I need pictures!!!
OK I am going to plan B. I will purchase a Leupold VX2 1-4x20 to mount on a Ruger#1 450/400. Can anyone share pictures of how they have theirs mounted? And also give the ring height they used. Thanks in advance.

harvey sternI currently have that same scope mounted on my No.1 .450/.400 3"(soon to change to a VX-3 1.5 x 5) and just used the stock Ruger rings that came with the gun. Slide the scope as far forward as possible and good to go.

SliderWould the scope be centered in the rings or would I need offset rings so its centered?

harvey sternSome guys need an extension ring but for my length of pull, etc. I'm fine with just using the regular rings and moving the scope forward as far as possible. Mine mounts and points very nicely with this setup - everything in immediate alignment and focus. I suggest before getting an extension ring, set your scope up and give it a try.

GraftonHere is my set up, no extension rings needed.

Vol717I have a Leupold Euro 1-4 30mm in Talley QR rings on my No 1 450/400. Plenty of eye relief at 1X and a little diminished at 4X.
I also have a Ruger No 3 in .30-40 Krag. It wears NO 1 wood. I have a Burris 2-3/4X Scout scope on it and eye relief is not an issue at all with that one.

SliderI installed the scope. I also installed a trop safety(what a nightmare).

RockdocLooks good. Slider is that a Boddington model? I would be interested to get that style rear sight for my non-Boddington model.
Cheers, Chris
