.375 Winchester in Ruger No. 3
Anyone out there interested in a No. 3 in a .375 Winchester? I may want to pick up something else to replace it.

Always interested in a #3. What condition? Any alterations or modifications? Price? Where are you located? Much prefer face to face if possible.

Live in the Pacific NorthWest. No modifications or alterations. I took the gun on trade a few years ago and then picked up a Marlin in .375 from my Grandfather. As far as condition goes, I really don't know how to grade something so I will describe it as I look at it. The stock and forearm have some dings and marks. Nothing that goes very deep. If you were to want to refinish the stock it would be minimal sanding to remove them. The blueing is rubbed mainly at the muzzle and the top and bottom edges of the receiver. I almost looks like it was carried in a scabbard. The edges of the lever havethe blueing rubbed off also. I have only ever loaded and shot 235 grain spitzers out of it just to use them up. Gun shoots fine. I beleive the gun was used alot but not abused. As far as a price goes, I have no idea what I would expect to get on a fair deal. I don't really need the money for my next purchase but it would be nice to help offset the cost and make it worth while. If I can borrow a digital camera from somebody I will try and attach some photos of it.

Still interested, but you have to tell me what you want for the piece. Sight unseen, it is not possible for me to make you an offer.
For whatever it's worth, last Aug. I bought a #3 in 45-70 for $350.00. Looked like it had just left the factory. Time passes, and values can go up. What do you want?

lefty315: I came in late on this and may be too late. I would like to send you a private message, but have had a problem with that since they got back up. I have two Ruger No. 3's myself, including the .375 Win. Here are pictures (if I typed it right):

I have never seen a No. 3 go for less than $450 and it was a dog. If you check AuctionArms and GunBroker, you will see they are generally listed at over $500 to as much as $900 for good ones in the odd calibers (which this is). There is a guy I am in contact with who is looking for that gun in that caliber. He is registering here, but he asked me to post his e-mail so you could contact him. It is: tpeters1@woh.rr.com

If all else fails (no one else give you a fair price for the gun), I can always use another one.
