My local gun store has a NIB Merkel K1 in 270 with a Swaroviski 3x10, I think I can get for $3.500.00 out the door. Is this a reasonable price? Do they make a good hunting rifle?

It is a single shot, with all of the style and limitations inherent. My purchase would be predicated on the quality of wood and engraving.

Tom, I have seen the K1 advertised on gunbroker with a 3-10 swaro scope for close to the same price, if I remember correctly. I would look into it and compare prices.
