Rifle on Banner?
What kind of a rifle is that on the Single Shot Rifles Forum?

I like that rifle a lot, it looks very elegant.

It's a Mauser thing, you wouldn't understand.

I've saved a copy of it to send to my gunsmith. I am going to do a 257 Weatherby with lines that are similar. Very elegant.

Any idea as to what action it is?

My guess, it's a side swing action.

It looks like it has a thumb lever on the side of it. Does the Welby have that lever?

I believe it is the Webley, there was a gentleman shooting one at the Quigley Match last week. The company he was with had a complete set of castings for sale, and we talked about him doing an action for me this fall.

I wish I knew you were at the Q. I was shooting next to the gent with the Webly and had the opportunity to talk with him and his friend who imported the castings. He said that the action was very easy to build and finish, but was not adaptable to set triggers.

Loud-n-Boomer,

you may have seen me, I was shooting the Shiloh with the bright finish barrel and the ugly forend (came from a broken M70 stock my gunsmith had at the shop) in 38-90. My brother had the 50-90.
He shot his best ever score, I shot my best, and I beat him. He got all the style points though!
I was driving a red GEO Tracker with Idaho plates.
