Got Gibbs?
Always my favorite single shot actions, I had been looking for a decent .303 for sometime. This one will do until I get the action I am building into a rifle done. Restored in the UK, I will have some clean up to do on the outside of the barrel as it once upon a time wore a scope. Should be a fun one. You hardly ever see a cased Gibbs sporter.

Now that’s a real beautiful piece, and tougher than most. mkb, we have such similar influences.

Special rifles to be sure. Very hard to come by. I assume the 215 grain bullets regulate best in rifles from this period?

Wow! Beautiful rifle.

IMHO, the classic Gibbs-Farquharson is the highest form of the single shot rifle.

Mine is a "resto-mod" in 7x57R (or .275 Flanged, which is what is stamped on the barrel).

Here it is in the field.

Mike, is yours also a Gibbs or is it one of the PD Farquharsons? Beautiful gun...

My little Gibbs showed up and while I do not believe the case is original to the rifle, an added bonus is that it is built on a small action. The rifle weighs 6 lbs.

Sorry, I've posted at least one of these before, but the Gibbs is a favorite and I couldn't resist. Roger
