The book, The British Falling Block Breechloading Rifle from 1865, Revised edition. It is by Jon Kirton. It has a chapter on the Shirley action in the back. I have never seen one as they are quite rare but it is a very good looking action and made a good looking gun. Mike ????? of Granit Mountian Arms has been working on producing the Shirley action for about a year now. Maybe more. He was going to make a few changes and as of right now I don't know how far along he is. Last I heard he was pretty close. I think the big thing was he was trying to figure out how to change to firing pin angle so that it would work parallel to the bore. Oh the book is about 75.00.
