Encore shooters?
Are there any other Encore shooters out there? I have a .204 & .50BP in factory barrels and a .257 Bob and .260 Rem MGM barrels. I am seeking a custom stock maker but the only one I've spoken to is maybe a little more expensive than I had in mind.

Discussion?

Hey Cliff, Did you try www.bullberry.com. They usually have a few in stock. I have a one for the Contender and also one for the Encore. Nice work. Sometimes they can be found on gunbroker or e-bay. God Bless, Louis

Louis,
I have used bullberry barrels in the past and they are always really good. The hanger bar system can be a topic of conversation but the accuracy of their barrels is not questioned.
As for their stocks, I have not used any of them, save the forends cut for the hanger bar. They're stock work is quite good though, for sure.

Gerry,
Save yourself while there is still time. These barrels can be quite addicting and it seems like there is always another caliber to try. Smiler

I have several types of Encore stocks.

One is a walnut thumbhole stock I got from Fox Ridge Outfitters (i.e., the T/C Custom Shop). I'm quite pleased with it for varmint or bench rest shooting.

My favorite Encore stock is a composite thumbhole camo version I got from T/C.

There is a "Georgia Jim" that makes stocks. I don't have one of his stocks but he has a good reputation and you could probably find his contact information via Google.

Cliff,

Not a chance, "My name is Gerry, I'm ill and I haven't bought a barrel since XX days........"

hilbily

I'm in need of therapy from my Blaser R93 & K95 escapades so another addition to a much less expensive manufacturer surely can't be as painful as the Blaser barrels, scope mounts, bolt heads & stock options.

I'm just a sucker for sets & collections.

Gerry, you and I have identical illnesses. I have a prestige & synthetic R93 with a .222, 270 WSM, 7mm-08, .308 & .30-06 barrels. So far, I have avoided the K95 plague but I am showing symptoms...
