Re: Cabela's bulk ammo for 223
Stevex, I haven't tried it, but by the time you pay for shipping & handling, it probably isn't worth it. I have found 2 brands of ammo that I think are excellent values. The first is Winchester Varmint 45gr. HP (WhiteBox-40rds.) $11-12 at Wally World. The other is Black Hills Remanufactured (Blue Box-50rds.) $13-18 at Gander Mtn.-or direct from Black Hills Mfg. They have had a nice selection of bullet weights/types. I've shot these and was very pleased w/results. Both types have decent brass and are reloadable. Unless your situation is that you aren't near one of these stores, you can probably buy these two brands for less than mail order.

I have not tried .223 but have used some of their other bulk ammo. (.45ACP and .308) I thought is was a very good value. I don't have to worry about shipping charges they have a store about 50 miles away in Kansas city.

Has anyone tried any of this?
Is it accurate and consistant?

I am not a reloader and was wondering if it was worth a try.
Thanks
