We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! Well guy's
Do to some bluing delays this gun which is a gift to one of my clients will be at the DSC convention in Jan.
I should have at least 4 maybe 5 different guns on display
One from Bailey Bradshaw the double falling block
And 4 of these 3 with some great engraving from Gary Griffiths Lee's brother.
Thanks Adam

Larry, these Luxus rifles will be at Hendershot's?

I dont understand why they put that recoilpad on.
28 December 2011, 17:13

Yes , the red recoil pad is in poor taste ! I also don't understand why there is color case hardening and engraving. I think the two conflict ,you can't appreciate the engraving because of the color ,and can't appreciate the color because of the engraving.
As I look at it ,if the metal was stainless steel I'd have some simple gold inlay work .That and the fantastic wood would be eye catching for sure !!

When a customer orders a custom gun built to his likes...he actually gets what he wants regardless of anyones opinion.

He wants a red pad and engraving with case colors...thats what he gets.

By the way, I think H&H, Purdey and even Winchester did well with their red pads.

See you in Dallas.

Cliff, I do not recall the caliber on that rifle. Probably a multi barrel rifle.

Bogus Mcall, Thanks, yours is coming along very nicely.

Roscoe, we are trying.

Bill/Oregon, Actually about 22-24 lpi or so.

I always like red pads with dark wood....reminds me of the classic Griffin & Howe rifles.

Those same components- Case Coloring, engraving and Red live rubber pads have been STAPLES of some of the FINEST London made best guns for over 100 years.

You ideas of "taste" are pretty damn funny.

The rifle I ordered has all three. I just like the red pads. They look great on my No.1's and look good on these also. I wasnt going to get the color case hardening, but Clay showed me a Double rifle he has ( I believe its a H&H) and it has both, engraving and color case hardening. It was BEAUTIFUL!So that is what I went with.Mine will be chambered in 6.5x55 Sweede.

Mine has a red pad. I wonder if I should have cleared it through the "taste police"...

Just to answer some questions
I believe all the Guns will be on Display at Hendershots, as per Adam
I went with my friend Biebs advice that the red pads are very classic.
Also I have ordered 2 308"s as gifts
Also a 270 WSM Gift
and mine is a 2 barrel set 7x64 and 300 HH
Also All my actions are very nicely engraved by Gary Griffith and have French Gray finish. Gary felt this would show off the engraving better.
I will have the final action that was engraved for me at the show, by its self in the white. It will also have a French Gray finish.
See you next week at the show.

Red pads, engraving, and case color. Those are the three staples on all of my recent builds.

I looked at these yesterday, and all I can say about them is good. These guys are doing us a great service by showing the world that the US CAN, produce a fine, high grade, firearm, at a very reasonable cost.

Finally got my hands one one today. It's better than I thought it would be. A beautifully made rifle and I can't wait to take possession of mine.

My 223 handles and shoots great and I am well pleased with the Model 11. It has an incredible trigger. I have been doing a little coyote hunting with it but no luck yet.

Guys I handled these rifles and had a good visit with Adam at the Dallas show. The craftsmanship is superb, the wood is beyond belief and they handle like a fine shotgun. Very lively and point well. Adam and Clay have a winner here... I am placing an order next month for a .300 H&H with, you guessed it, case-colored receiver and a red pad in a 14.5" LOP.

Guys, a great many thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello and check out the rifle.
Thanks for the compliments and for the business.

One of the highlights to the show (for me) was when one of the greatest living stockmakers and gunbuilders (ACGG member) stopped by the booth and could not put the gun down for some time. He remarked...
"That is a helluva lot gun for the money."
He knows who he is, and thanks!

There will be ONE Model 11 at the SCI show in Vegas.
It is at the Euro Optics booth.

Please stop by and check it out.

100% American made!
Great balance and dynamic feel.
Accurate!
compact take down and a...
Switch barrel!
16 Calibers on one frame size.

Oh yeah...and they come standard with Exh. Turkish walnut!

Thanks again all.

Best,

Adam

I had a custom gun maker look at the one we had in Las Vegas, and he was most favorable about it. Said the red pad looked great.
