Re: Baikal single shot
I know their shotguns, a bit crude but reliable.

Have shot a bit with some of them, they are okay. Several friend have them, they are very cheap with a good reputation and have been on the marked for quite some time over here.

A bit worried about the lock with factory 223 or 222 ammo, also thinking aboy extraxtion, would be better with a rimmed round. Will not be buying any rifle this year do.

If these rifles are anything like their shot guns, they should work well. The shotguns I have seen are not fancy but very rugget and dependable. With the hammer forged barrels these rifles should shoot pretty good. The lock up is another story, and if it is like the NEF it would be nothing to write home about. But I doubt that, the Ruskies build some pretty strong stuff. Fred M
