BurkhardUnknown Single shot system
Looking for a single shot rifle I found this.
Never saw this system before - they call it turnblock.
Has anyone informations about this rifles?

meteVery interesting rifle ! It reminds me of our old Hall rifle which was a double barrel rifle [O/U] .When one barrel was fired the barrels were rotated to permit firing the second barrel.

Singleshot03Nice looking rifle but wouldn't it be slow to load a second round?

I don't think it would be any slower than any other single shot especially if it has an ejector for the empty round.
However at around $9275.00 U.S. base price I think I would stick with my K95.

Big Bore FanHi Burkard,
I know only one owner, a customer from my dad. It´s a interesting action, but without any advantages, as normal falling block or break action rifles. I mean, there was no ejektor.
And for 6490.-€ and above, you can buy a lot of K95 or other single shot rifles.
Don´t understand me wrong, I´m an absolute fan of real gunsmith-work and for me, Blaser is a no-go. But this is to much money for too less advantage.

Actully there is one advantage to the swingblock over the kipplauf and that is it is much easier to adjust the action for wear.
If a Kipplauf hing pin wears out and the barrel comes off face then the pin will have to be turned or replaced by a gun smith really not a big deal but in the case of the drehverschulss a loose action can be adjusted with the allen wrench found embedded on the inside of the forarm.
I really love my Drehverschluss

Big Bore FanI have had one in my hands and testfired it. And for
me, "nice" are other rifles. I´m a falling block-rifle fan, like the HighWall´s, Sharps, Rugers or other "Herrenbüchsen" and perhaps my oppinion is not objectiv.

AkshooterThey are not for everyone. I also like falling block rifles and I have a couple #1's.
Do you see rifles built on the Herron action often? The only maker I know of currently is Hartmann and Weiss but you can really buy a lot of Blasers for what that would cost.
SDH - After reviewing my privious post I realize that it won't go over well. Sorry, I can assure you at 5&1/2 pounds it's not clumsey at all.
El Deguello Yes I agree Mittenwald is a very special place. I have hunted there with several friends including The gun maker Alois.
This photo was taken at the foresters cabin at fall. (nearby town) I shot the gams on right with the drehverschluss.
The forester who uses this cabin has a Mayr bolt rifle and the foretdirector his boss hunts with a drehvershulss.
