Harry OSaw my second Wickliffe single-shot yesterday.....
The first one was a few weeks ago. It was a three barrel combo that was not completely finished. The one I saw yesterday was complete and finished. It was on a gunshow table.
The gun was set up like a benchrest gun. Straight (bull) barrel and a heavy and wide forearm that was triangular with a wide, smooth, flat bottom. It was in .225 Winchester caliber. There was a target with it that was about 1/2 MOA at 100 yards. Probably not accurate enough for benchrest competition, but it was probably actually used for varmints.
There were a couple of other varmint guns on the table including a custom heavy barrel one with a custom tubular single-shot bolt action (it was NOT a rebarreled commercial bolt-action). It was in .17 Remington caliber. It also had a target which was a little better than the Wickliffe, maybe 1/3 MOA.
Unfortunately, the guy who owned them was not there at the time so I did not get to talk to him directly. They guy who was watching the table knew nothing about them.
