bpesteveLovely, lovely, lovely; the 'little' Sniders have always appealed to me and that one is a peach indeed!
PS: The last picture shows what appears to be a Swinburn Martini, another favorite of mine.

Yep..Swinburns patent Martini.
The gun is a .500/450ex made by the Scottish maker
E. Mortimer. Its a minty gun....still up for sale.
I bought the .500ex pictured in center. All guns found here in Denmark.

HistoricBoreVery nice!
I have a very similar one, and mine is indeed a .380 and not a .360 No. 5. Take a normal .357 bullet and drop it through the bore....
You will need to use the heel base bullets of 0.375" combined with .38 S&W brass (not .38 Specials cut down) They are great fun - enjoy!

jens poulsenI have measured the bore to .364",(largest diameter)
I have a .375 Heeled bulletmold from NEI making 130grain bluntnosed bullet.
Was looking to cut down .38specials..but that don't work..?
I have Colin Greens book on Rook and rabbit rifles to lean myself to.

HistoricBoreHi Jens
Cut down .38 Special cases can work, but they are 3 thousandths of an inch smaller diameter than .38 S&W, plus often with thicker walls so they do not obturate to fill the chamber, and so can leak gases backwards. Your heel based bullet should be fine with soft lead alloy.
Let us know how you get on - this is an ideal winter project!

jens poulsenThanks you all.
I look so much foreward to get this little popgun going. They are really neet guns these rookrifles.
I will go get some .38S&W by Magtech here later next week. They might work 'ok' for some short range garden work..lol
