prof242TCR Stocks
Does anyone know if the Thompson Center Rifle (TCR) stocks for the single trigger and double trigger are the same, or close enough, inside the buttstock?

IOWADONI have one TCR-83 and four TCR-87's. I know that the stock bolt for double triggered 83 has a different stock bolt angle then my single trigger 87's. However, I have a stock which I am pretty sure came from a double triggered 87 which fits on my 87's. This stock is shorter which I think is to compensate for the further forward trigger of the set trigger guns. On switching butt stocks around I've found there is a little variance in fit so a little minor in-letting may be required.

prof242Thanks for the info. Both of the ones I'm interested in are 83s and beautiful wood. Just have no need for the double trigger on the one. Thought of buying another 83 with a single trigger and swapping wood.

IOWADONI think if you put the stock from the double trigger one on the single trigger one you will end up with a gun with an inch shorter than standard pull length. Conversely, the double trigger gun will have an inch longer than standard pull length.

prof242I could use the extra length of pull.
