Martini Cadet
Just got a neat little Cadet action. It has the safety lever like the bigger ones. No place for the little "cocked" indicator like the others either. The bolck is all solid and not milled out. Never had one of these before. Anyone got any information on these type? Appreciate the help.

Are you sure its a Cadet action? Are there any mfg. marks like "BSA, Greener", etc? Does it dis-assemble the same as a BSA/Greener. Is there a cleaning rod hole behind the breech block pin? Maybe it's some kind of a target action? More info or a picture would sure help to ID it.

Dear Jon,
Only marks are the ser# under the lever. The take down is the same except there is a safety rod [?] going through the receiver and that has to be removed prior to the normal takedown. I have pictures but don`t know how to post them. Send me an email address and I`ll send them to you. I`m thinking this would make a dandy little 25-20 Win or 25/20 SS. I have reamers for both and I can get brass for the SS version too.

Aloha, Mark

From your discription I'm afraid your guess as to origin is as good as mine. I bought my Martini Cadet action from the "Martini man", Jack Millar in Australia. His email address is: jacmillr@optusnet.com.au. I'll bet he could ID your action.
BTW, I chambered mine in 256 Win mag. (357 mag pistol necked to .25) and have a "once used" reamer if you're interested in something less "classic" but a little more powerful.

Dear Cas--

That is the one. Thank you VERY much. Guess I have a nice Greener action to work with.

Dear BadAss,
Beautiful rifle. I envy you the Martinis "Down Under". I still have a pretty nice 303 barrel for the large Martini. Someday-----maybe??????

Aloha, Mark
