rikkit"?" for Japanese Hi-Wall owners
I was fortunate to purchase one of the new "Winchester 1885 Hi-Wall's that were built in the Miroku plant, I understand the Browning Hi-Wall's sold a few years back might have had the same genesis. In addition to a Buckhorn rear and bead front sight the rifle came with a Tang sight, I would like to remove the Buckhorn and bead sight and use the Tang sight with a Globe front sight.
The problem I am having is, the front dovetail does not fit the Lyman globe sight I have, it is too loose. I believe I can get the Lyman to work with a certain amount shimming but would prefer to purchase the correct fitting sight if one is available. Brownell's says my only choice is the Lyman.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

rikkitThanks for the replies, I e-mailed Lee Shaver he stated the "fix" was similar to your suggestions. " Shim up a Lyman site and use some red loc-tite and forget about it".
