Ruger #1 Length of Pull - Too Long?
Anyone else out there find that their Ruger #1's Length of Pull is about 1/2" too long?

I've compared my #1 against a Montana 1999, a Remmie M7MS, a Browning A-Bolt (300wm w/ 26" bbl no less) and a Marlin 336.

In ever case the #1 had the longest LOP by about 1/2" on average.

Has anyone else found that the #1 has an overly long LOP? Almost 13.75" on my rifle. (It seems I favor 13.25").

BTW, I'm 5'8" on a good day and find that I can't get close enough to the scope to get a decent sight picture without really straining my neck. I kept wondering "What am I doing wrong here..." - nope, don't think it's quite me.

Robert

I am 6'2", I find them a bit short...

You might be a bit under the height of Ruger's "average man" LOP, just as I am a bit over.

I've had mine cut to fit me. Even w/ the scope at its rear most spacing, they're too long for me.

I added a full 1" pad and it still is a little short for me (6'3").

Probably factory cut for a six foot "average man".
