The Bolt ManThompson Center G2 Trigger Pull Too Heavy
The trigger pull on my Thompson Center is too heavy and disturbs the sight picture.
Can the trigger pull be lightened without breaking the bank?

Paul ReedBoltMan,
Yes, they are fairly easy to adjust yourself. Mike Bellm is the acknowledged expert on all things TC and has a very informative Web site. His trigger information is
here but I suggest you peruse the site as there is a wealth of information.
Good luck,
Paul

GrumulkinMike Bellm's kits to adjust trigger pull are good but it helps to read the directions CAREFULLY and be handy with tools.
I'm one that does not acknowledge Bellm as being the "expert in all things TC." I would advise you not to use oversized hinge pins and not get stuck chasing the alleged head space problem Encores and Contenders supposedly have.
I'll second the need to use caution with the Bellm pages. The oversize hinge pins are the reason I don't like to buy used frames and barrels.
There is a site for "Specialty Pistols" that has a substancial T/C following. It requires registration (free) and there are instructions on lightening the spring for the G2. Use caution, don't be afraid to re-assemble and check often, and make sure the hammer still rebounds when trigger is released. Getting it down to 1.5 pounds should be within reach.
If your not comfortable doing the work yourself, there are gunsmiths that can and will exceed the lightened trigger with a more extensive re-work. I have had a couple Encore frames done by Bullberry and it makes a huge difference over the over stiff factory pull.
