Could that be why it's called a Model 10?? 1 X 10??

Could the relationship be linear?
That's what I was wondering.

Idaho ShooterNo not linear!
More like geometrical.
For each increase in quality, the increase in cost is squared. The question is: how much quality can one afford.

skb2706For all the same reasons a 'high end' Porsche is ten times as much as a Volkswagen.........

Alberta CanuckTo paraphrase Pareto's Law (an engineering rule of thumb):
You can achieve 80% perfection for 20% of the cost of making a perfect product. The other 20% of perfection is what eats the other 80% of the cost.

MntngoatSo the biggest question I'm asking myself is is the Model 10 worth the cost?
Seems it' costs about the same to go the full custom route on a #1. I'm not bashing the #1 by any means, as I have a few, but it's still a reworked factory gun!

N E 450 No2I have had 2 No1's, still have one, and I have handled a couple of Dakota's, nice rifles for sure. However my Blaser K 95 single shot is my favorite of the bunch. I like the break open, take down design. It is one of the most accurate hunting rifles I have ever fired. It is the 20" bbl fullstock Stutzen.
