since this is the single shot site / forum may i offer a suggestion to check out the merkel k-1 rifles while they still have them in stock. they are being replaced with a newer version k-3 which has a cheaper quick detach scope mount system..... you can forget it.

when i found out about this i bought my wife a k-1 asap ! i had hunted africa with my 300 win mag and it was deadly. when i started hunting europe i bought a new one in 7 x 65 R and a spare barrel in 9,3 x 74 R.that combo will hunt anything anywhere.
