I recently purchased a No. 1 in 9.3x74R. When I went to scope it the top part of the rings would not fit easily over the scope. I could push them down over the scope and then they seemed to fit fine. Has anyone else seen this?

I have and have even had some rings that I could not get over a scope. I have had others that the flats had to be filed as the rings would be meet before the scope was tight.The tolerances seem to be quite large on Ruger rings.

I used the dremel tool on the bottom edge of these and made them work. Hope they hold.

Two sets of Ruger rings on two No. 1's -- mounted Leupold VX scopes. Fit like gloves.
