conchoIs yours a #1? I have a #1 that was a 7mm with Republic of Mexicana crest on top of receiver I made into a 40/65 ,another 7mm that I kept original because of it's condition , and a .43 Spanish that is in excellent condition I have been loking for a #1 to barrel for a 50/110 I made 3 actions myself from 4150 CM but at this time I have not heat treated them to be completed for barreling .

conchoTo my Ignorance ! I just found that the #1 being the same size is not a #1 when chambered for 7mm or any of the other smokless powder cartridges but a #5 Remington Rolling Block ! So I eat Crow ! so I'm now Looking for a #5 Action not a #1 DeHaas Book is lacking in this information ! Or I overlooked it somewhere ?

degoinsconcho,
my swede roller is a smokelss one. i bought it as a factory sporterised military rifle in 8mm Krag. i couldnt get it to shoot consistantly in that form so i had it restocked and rebarreld to 45-70. i really liked the configuration it was in when i got it though.
