I just dont have any experience at all with TC products and do not have a clue as to what the street price would be for an off the shelf Encore rifle in say .243. I am trying to do a cost comparison with a Ruger #1 B.

First thing to consider is: Maybe you'll someday want another barrel, and with the Encore, all you have to do is contact T/C!

Not to much of a chance in changing calibers with the Ruger!
