MSP_RetRe: h/r NEF
Big Mortie? Lets get real guys, I spent about 1/2 hour on the phone today with Marlin, the parent company of H&R. According to the person I spoke to, problems they envisioned similar to the ilk peddled by BM was most likely a big part of what got the H&R website closed down. We have to grow up and become responsible adults when it deals with firearms and shooting and not just lanquish in immaturity and pubesent humor which sadly may have hastened the downfall of an otherwise helpful and enjoyable venue....<><....

JPH45I too will miss BIG MORTIE, and it can also be just as true that good humor is as healthy a part of adulthood as is the ability to act responsibly. I think Marlin/H&R simply weren't up to the appearance of supporting such things as rechambers, reloading, rebarreling, etc., and it is easy to lay blame on people not present to defend themselves. I think if one has issues with MORTIE they should be left on the now closed H&R Talk.

MSP_RetJPH45, I'll join you on that and let it lay. To better times in the future and hope we all continue to be safe, healthy and happy while shooting and tinkering with our H&R's....<><....

<Rogmatt>JPH45, It was the Chinese Pardner Pump talk that made them think. I think they saw that it was going to affect sales with all the talk. Well, Chinese pump on a website that says "made in america, what do you expect??

TERRY8mmScrew 'em, I've bought my last new Marlin/H&R product.
They were very unprofessional in their handling of the situation, PERIOD.

<Rogmatt>MSP RET , your plan to get him banned on the other site worked. Your hard lobbying to get everyone to hate BM will not work. He knows where he is banned & is joining us elsewhere. We understand BM's humor & even dare I say appreciate it. May everyone be as kind to you as you have been to BM.

747I have looked back at some of Mortimers post and I see no harm to anyone infact it seems more people went to see his posts than any others . Mortys post are just that and no more than family entertainment .

He is better than janet jackson enough said so let the chips fall and see where we stand , Gray beards may be ok but I have already seen their rules and heard their dislike for some over hear really not my bussiness , just come hear to spend some time with a few friends

If H&R talk comes back with a bunch of rules and moderators tell them to sell it in china here we have freedom of speech .

Paul5388Hmmm, it seems like Mortie never actually posted a load or even a brand of powder that "filled" that Rem Green Box .30-06 brass. What did he do that so bad? Nothing compared to the suggestion of a .50 BMG on a Handi frame!

DeanCascioI always like to read BM. I thought he was a lot of fun.
As far as H&R/NEF go it seems that no matter who owns the company they will always make the wrong business decisions.
