Pete in IdahoMartini Cadet
Can anyone tell me the approx. going price for a martini cadet rifle or action. Besides gunshows where else would you look? GunList?
For years I wanted a KHornet on one of these cute little actions.
Thanks____Pete

muzzaan associate sold a cadet action to a guy in the US last year for $300 plus delivery. He may still have one spare action , I can check if you are interested .

loud-n-boomerI have a soft spot for the cadet, so I follow them quite a bit. Expect to pay on the average, around $350.00 for a decent one. Rather than a K-Hornet, look at either the .218 Bee, or the Mashburn Bee. The Rim is the essentially the same diameter as the original .310 Cadet round, and these rounds can be loaded to either equal, or easily exceed the K-Hornet.

Pete in IdahoThanks everyone,
I checked out the web page and they have actions only for $255. That's better then I expected. Good idea on using the Bee instead of the Hornet, although the KHornet still has my fancy. When I get all the parts together I'll come back for information on how to set up the forend. I've heard this is somewhat touchy on single shots. Done lot of work on bolt actions but none on single shots. Pete

browningguyAlso look at Thad Scott
http://www.thadscott.com/http://www.geko.net.au/~jansa/http://winsoft.net.au/~jemtrek/The last two are in Australia, I've imported two pre 1898 rifles this year with no headaches at all. I've got two Belgian sporters in .380, case colored and nicely engraved. A third in .300 Sherwood which is a Belgian action with the cadet style stock and came from South Africa.
