Well , we are making them and they are the TC style. I think that says it all. I will say they are comfortable and point well in the hand . Our own stock designs will be introduced on our new web site Stocker Gun Stocks and it will be up soon.
If you want to see some of our gun designs go to www.luxuswalnut.com and look at the rifles .

Dang, lighten up Francis. He said it was a division of Luxus Products that is making these stocks. If you don't like them you are under no obligation to buy one. There are more than a few people on here who happen to like the Encore system and are glad there are additional options when choosing a stock.

I bet you sell a bunch of those Contender and Encore stocks.

Those are fantastic looking stocks and I'm sure that at some point I'll need one for my Encore collection.

Do you do any stocks besides Encores/Contenders?

The reason I ask is I have this Mossberg 500 (yea, a cheap shotgun but I like it) the stock of which is too short for me. Do you make stocks for guns such as that?

Hi,

we will be making more stocks after the Encores and Contenders. Will let you know when and will have them on our web site.

Thank you

Lux.
The beautiful stock on that Farqharson would look very nice on a Ruger#1. It would be nice if an amateur wood smith could get one of your stocks semi finished and inletted.

I love the Ruger #1 and I am lucky to have some with fine wood that I rejuvinated, but nothing like you have.

The stocks on your Encores are outstanding. I don't think they are ugly.

I second ZERMEL....I would like to see a semi inlet in that Farqharson style for a Ruger #1. Please keep us informed as to how the website is going. Fantastic work!

Fellows,
we have targeted ther Ruger #1 as one of the next stocks we will make. Should have some before year and will post them here and on our new web site when its completed.

I think a DIY offering would be an option.

Lux,
I too, would be interested in an exibit grade stock for a Ruger #1. I am rechambering a .458 Win. to a 450#2NE and plan to have Turnbull do his case color magic. A Luxus level stock would really complete my ultimate Ruger #1.
Please keep us posted on #1 stocks, as I am sure they will be very popular, like the Encore stocks...lots of both guns out there, with plain wood...
You MUST cut your blanks from God's back yard!!! I've seen some of your high end pieces before. thumb
Thanks, ND

OMG Clay, those are just beautiful. I for one would not have the courage to take one out in the woods for fear of dinging it up.

I for one would love to see a photo of a T/C Encore Stock with a high straight comb, no monte carlo, and with a more conventional pistol grip (not that I can afford one mind you).

Once again very beautiful work.

ill keep you informed when we start producing stocks for the Ruger #1. We will be using nice wood!

SD Handgunner. You pointed out some of the shortcomings with the TC design. A classic style would be a nice option . When we figure it out we will post it here or on our new web site.

Hi, Clay.

I suggest that your Ruger No. 1 forestocks be styled similar to the current Ruger Alex Henry syle.

Lux..
I would like to see the stocks made for Rugers look and feel more like the stocks on the old English stalking rifles..
Slimmer grip with more drop in the nose of the comb and more drop in the heal and toe of the butt..
Kind of like on your Gibbs 450-400 Farquharson or the John Madole Ruger in the link below .. You can get a boring Ruger pattern copy already from several stock makers...

Hi ,

i agree with you . We will make a stock leaning the toward the english style. We like that look and most others do also. Will post info on the Ruger stocks here when we start making them.

Thanks,

Oh heck, I'll say it. I just plain don't like the way the Contender stocks look at all. It's just the design.

On the other hand, FABULOUS execution! Great wood and the fit/finish looks superb.

Now, when you make THAT in a Ruger #1... shocker I'm all over that.

Robert
