An appalling lack of left-hand thumbhole options. Below is the stock I put on my T/C Encore. I got it as a semi-sanded, unfinished set from an outfit called Gunstocks, Incorporated. Pad is a Limbsaver Decelerator or something like that. I have the long, beavertail forestock, too. I sort of enjoyed the many hours of sanding it required to get the rough stock into a state that would allow it to be finished. I could see it coming along, moving toward what I wanted it to be. I sanded it down to fit very closely to the frame at the tang. It looks really good. The worst part was that it took eight months for the gunsmith I chose to finish it and install the buttpad. I made two 250-mile round-trips to nudge him along before it was done. I'll never take anything there again...

That is good to know for those who want one. I had to go the unfinished route because Virgin Valley Gunworks went out of business. For quite a period of time, they were the only ones who made a really nice LH thumby. E. Arthur Brown and Company made 100 lefty sets as a feeler for demand, but they sold those out over a year ago. The screwholes in the forestock were just a red hair too small (about 1/1,000,000,000 of an inch) to get the screws through them, otherwise they were quite nice. I was lucky enough to get a set in laminated nutmeg. It's too late for me to employ your services, but it's a godsend for those who want that for-so-long elusive thumbholer...

We will post here for the TC owners so you can see what we are making .

So far we are making the TC Encore stocks, pistolstocks and forends. Will be making G2 & Contender soon. Also muzzleloader and shotgun forends can be ordered.

To place an order the lead times are 30-40 days on Encores right now. Sometimes we have them on the shelf for immediate delivery.

Those sure are beautiful LUX. I am not sure how to PM but if you wouldn't mind sending me some info I would appreciate it. I am a lefty but I don't want a thumbhole stock.

Cliff,
I don't having any ties to Clay and his company but I have seen these stocks in person and they are far better than the pictures can show. Their attention to detail is outstanding. This wood will make a normal encore a stunning show piece with a finish that would not discourage you from hunting with it. I can't say enough good things about what this company is doing.
