The reason i ask was i was at a gun show and came across a Belgian made rolling block maker unknown.How can anyone tell me where i can finf information on other type outside the Remington?And are there any books written on other rolling block?

I remember reading about the ones carried by Stanley and such,,a kind of roller but not like the Remington .

Have lost the link but there was or is a Doctor in Tenn, that collects big bore and fine guns that had one that was supposed to be Stanleys' on his site

One of the gun scribes was shown shooting it on his program also

go to drake.net, that's the Lewis and Drake site.....he's the one who had Stanley's 4 bore Belgian roller and also had one that was restored that was very nice. Jim Scouten did a show there a few years ago and he shot the restored one. Very cool. I think both guns were sold long ago, but they should be able to give you some good info on them.
